It happened again. As soon as there was an effort by the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan to rekindle the peace talks, there was a deadly terror attack at an Airforce base in Pathankot. And this was not a one off incident. When Prime Minister A B Vajpayee visited Lahore by bus and extended a hand of friendship, we suffered Kargil war, when Parvez Musharraf was invited to India and India tried to initiate peace process at Agra, the reply came in the form of attack on our Parliament, then we suffered 26/11 which was as horrific if not more than the attacks in Paris and the latest slap on the face of the initiative for peace started by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi's surprise visit to Pakistan on invitation of Pakistan's PM Nawaz Sharif came in the form of this deadly attack on Air Force base. The above incidents prove that no matter how seriously or how passionately peace is pursued by the two countries, there are parties involved who are more interested in disrupting
