India Pakistan Peace - A Dream That May Not Become A Reality

It happened again. As soon as there was an effort by the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan to rekindle the peace talks, there was a deadly terror attack at an Airforce base in Pathankot. And this was not a one off incident. When Prime Minister A B Vajpayee visited Lahore by bus and extended a hand of friendship, we suffered Kargil war, when Parvez Musharraf was invited to India and India tried to initiate peace process at Agra, the reply came in the form of attack on our Parliament, then we suffered 26/11 which was as horrific if not more than the attacks in Paris and the latest slap on the face of the initiative for peace started by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi's surprise visit to Pakistan on invitation of Pakistan's PM Nawaz Sharif came in the form of this deadly attack on Air Force base. The above incidents prove that no matter how seriously or how passionately peace is pursued by the two countries, there are parties involved who are more interested in disrupting

ODD EVEN FORMULA - Delhi Air Needs More Effort

In May 2014 World Health Organisation declared Delhi as the most polluted city in the world and in the last few months, since the winter has started to set in Delhi the debate about the ever reducing quality of air in the capital is gaining a voice. The air in Delhi has been declared poisonous by the different experts. The other day a leading daily paper reported that the case of lung ailments have increased in Delhi. With all these statistics and facts in the face, it was high time that the government of Delhi lead by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), decided to introduce Road Rationing Scheme or Odd-Even Rule. As per this rule from January 1, 2015 to January 15, 2015 vehicles with Odd registration numbers can come on the road on odd dates and Even registration numbered vehicles would be allowed on Delhi roads on even dates.
